I am a Macroeconomist with both theoretical and empirical interests. I have received my Ph.D. in Economics and Government from Center for Monetary and Financial Studies (CEMFI).
My main research focuses on Firm Dynamics with a special interest in understanding how economic frictions, e.g., financial frictions, adjustment costs, affect firms in the economy, and as a result, aggregate productivity and output. I also work in Development Economics, particularly understanding the determinants of Poverty and Inequality both across and within countries.
I am a visiting research associate —"investigador colaborador"— of the Applied Economics Department at the University of the Balearic Islands.
For the 2020-2021 academic year, I am a Postdoctoral Research Associate of the Transmission Mechanisms and Economic Policy Research Theme in the Cambridge-INET Institute, nowadays the Janeway Institute, at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Cambridge.
